Esp8266 and multiple ds18b20's with mqtt

Thanks, we have not yet, however right now it's wifi connection issue,.
In using tasmota

that would explain why i cant log into it right now.
going to reflash to errase settings and reenter the Wi-Fi for the comcast router.
butl first check the settings as discussed above.

no, but i can have it set up as trussted so there is no blockage if settings in router are changed during an update to router.
ISP's are nutrias for screwing with your settings during updates

no need to reflash - just connect to tasmota AP open browser to 192.168.4.1 then use menu to change settings.

im having issues connecting
i just had it connected to my netgear nightwawk
but using guest wifi because the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz had same name.
im now trying to get it to connect to the comcast router( the same network as my Pi4)
but its not connecting to the network.

so who here is a network guru,
i think that the wifi here is jacked and i need to figure out proper settings for the hole thing.
right now its not just my esp having issues its also my laptop, phone has no issue connecting to WIFI.
but it wont connect to tasmota only my lap top will
man this post has really gone sideways!

...is your Pi connected via LAN? You could create a WiFi-Accesspoint with the Pi, solely for the ESP if the ESPs are in WiFi range to the Pi.

No, pi is connected via wifi.
I just got off the phone with isp, had them change my router to static and I'm only using net gear for wifi.
I have to log into it now and adjust the settings.
The esp had no problems connecting to it.

Did you actually try to connect to the same 2.4Ghz ssid as the PI uses ?

Its what i do for a living (network design and security)

So maybe do a hand drawn diagram of what connects to where so we can see what is up.

It sounds to me like you have a couple of issues and should really simplify things to start with

There is no reason the ISP supplied WIFI should not work for something as simple as this

The only setting in there would be the security level that is set on the WIFI - but you should be able to dumb this down for the ESP to connect. If you can try and set this to WPA2-Personal on the Router

Are you sure you do not have both the ComCast router and Netgear handing out IP Addresses ? i.e. acting as DHCP servers ?

You should really have the Netgear set to AP mode only and attach one of its LAN ports to the LAN port on the Comcast Router.

Yes that was my issue, esp8266 wouldn't connect, in middle of resetting whole network

Send us some pictures of the config screens on the COmcast router as well

Well, I had Comcast change to static ip and Bridge my net gear router so everything will be one network, however I forgot my admin password so I did a factory reset so now I don't have an internet connection. I'm a dummy today lol

Ok, update.
I had a long day with no ethernet. because i got my netgear router ip and the gateway ip crossed up.
DOH!
all is good with it now but i had an issue with esp8266 again. ill chock it up to being tired and frustrated from earlier events.
Ill be back on my time around 8 or 9 am. wich i believe is most of you'alls evening.
cheers.

We have successfully used ESPEasy with MQTT and Node-RED.
Had 20 ESP8266 units controlled from Noder-RED in real time with almost now issues.
ESPEasy units were distributed throughout a data center driving 150kW heater in real time control.

My only issue was the end user connecting 380 to 220 line and blowing my 220 to 5V PSU's on the units

An approach I've taken for connecting several ESPs and Raspberry Pies to my network is to use an old wireless router. It avoids the issue of splitting 2.4 and 5GHz SSIDs.

I use a Billion BiPac 7800 connected by ethernet to my main gateway/router and to provide a different 2.4GHz only wireless network.

It does not run a DHCP server; all devices' IP address are from the main router DHCP server, so it's not set up as a bridge, though that's an option if the number of devices grows.

Given that the ESP cannot even see the 5Ghz network why would same SSID be an issue?
I have them working with a network setup with same name.

I don't know if it is or isn't an issue, but I couldn't get some devices to connect to my new router, they are fine with the Billion.

so i have my wifi working but im now having an issue connecting the esp again
lol
I did order more esp devices , there could just be something wrong with this one from out the box .
but i will completely reinstall tasmota and start the setup process again.
better to have a fresh install .

yes they both where hading out ip address.
so this is what i did yesterday.
i had my crappy isp router set up as a nat service with a static ip.
now the only wifi i have in my space is the netgear.
it has same lable for 2.4ghz ad 5ghz
my netgear has 2 satalites to ensure i have good wifi in building.
ill work up a drawing so you can see what it is .
however the wifi on the esp is acting up still .
right now its not saving the settings, it keeps coming back to setup wifi screen and asking me for password again
