2 more settings, the esp8266 keeps loging out of wifi. and struggles to establish and hold a connection.

if it drops off do you see its AP

that would be the tasmota wifi popping up in available wifi, if so, yes

yes - did you tick the box next to password to be sure it is correct ?

LOL silly question but needed I assume.
Yes i did. more then once because I know i have fat fingers.

in screen shot I cannot see the ssid - only mac addresses ?
do you have ssid hidden ?

Seems not looking at your router screen shot.
if you click scan for networks what do you see ?

it sees the network and i select the pass
then it acts like it connects then disconnects.

Do you see ssid on esp other screen shot had mac

yes , when i log into esp wifi broadcast
it takes me to set up screen.
i scan for networks and it is there.
i select,
enter in password
select save.
then it either says couldnt connect and asks me to re-enter pass
or it acts as it connected. it did once then disconnected.
either there is a wifi setting thats wrong on my router or a config issue with board and or bad board.

this is what i got when it was connected to my wifi

I had similar issues.
Flash your ESP with a "BLANK" bin file.
That will make sure that here is not any garbage data screwing you around.
Then flash your image again. That always work for me.

where do i find a "blank" bin file

maybe a better question.
i have read it needs to be in "flash" mode.
does Tasmotize handle that or should i be doing something before i flash it.

I presume you have an ESP with 4MB flash.
You can get a blank bin here.
Not sure, but i think Tasmotizer will be able to flash a blank bin

did it and reflashed tasmota
still having issues

If you use tasmotezr software there is an option to erase flash. This will clear everything before flashing.

Tbh it sounds like an issue with wifi network. You did say you had it working ok at home ?
