It would take a while, more than a few seconds to stop. That is a great question, I had not thought of mentioning that... usually a stop command is fast, a second or so at most, on a Pi3 or Pi4. I did not see anything in the logging at all that suggested any type of fault or error.
I still have yet to get back to the Pi3 that started this scenario, a lot of life events popping up at the moment pulling me from my planned testing. But hope to try again this weekend coming.
