Hmm- just had a look at Ubuntu core... - that is not exactly a standard Linux install - so no wonder we don't have docs for it 
- Would be happy to receive some docs if you or anyone are willing ?!?
But please note there is still an outstanding issue with snaps and usb serial ports - [Announce] Node-RED snap 0.19.5 available
