I just saw in some forums that node red server only uses 512mb of RAM of your hardware. Is it true? What if I have 16gb of RAM, will it be possible that 8gb of it are dedicated for Nodered server? If yes.. how am I going to do it?
Thanks in advance!
Nope. My Windows 10 dev PC is an i7 with 16GB RAM and I checked this morning. Starting node-red used 1.6GB of heap. Though task manager reports node-red currently using just 27.5MB of RAM. These of course are very different measurements.
Generally speaking you shouldn't worry about it, just let the JavaScript V8 engine take care of it automatically.
Thanks man! So can we conclude that node red dynamically allocated RAM as long as the hardware can?
