Node red template/charts Dashboard add Plugin

Hello I found this plugin for Chart.Js, currently I am making my chart using template node, ny question is how can I add this plugin to nodered template? In the article it says it can be install using npm but I dont know where to install it in my local machine in order to nodered use it as external plugins? Thank you gentlemens!

here is a flow using chart.js which should give you a idea of what to do.
