NR Installation not on 'pi'

One point to make the operation of Raspbain OS more secure, there are instructions like this on the net:

The default user/password must be changed. At least the password should be changed. To increase security, the user name should also be changed.

The script Running on Raspberry Pi : Node-RED is strongly recommended for installing Node-RED, but the installation only seems to apply to the user 'pi'. But this should be avoided.
How is an installation as recommended possible, but with any other user name?

In theory, just run the script when logged in as that user. I've never actually done it.

There is also a command line option --nodered-user=anotherusername.

As @jbudd says, it sets up node red for the current user. There is nothing in it specific to the user pi.

I must have been very inattentive yesterday, because my current NR installation is not running with 'pi' either. The installation log also clearly shows this.
Late evening, sleepy user
