Settings edition in the editor?

Hi all,

First of all, this is my first message on the forum, so hello world and a great thanks to the developers !

A question for this topic, is there any plan to get the settings available and editable from the editor ? I mean, users with their roles, uiPort, etc etc all (or maybe most) settings that we can actually modify opening the json conf files.

Most settings in the settings file are not per-user and cannot be changed without a full restart of Node-RED. There are no plans to make them dynamically modifiable via the UI.

There may be select settings that make some sense for individual users to override, but they would be considered on a case by case basis. For example, it may be useful to have some level of user management available via the UI if it makes sense to do so. I know there are many commercial users of NR that integrate with existing Auth systems and it makes no sense to do that via NR.

Mainly agree with you it is not possible to put everything in the editor of course !!
