The dashboad chart node does that. It will take a reading input in msg.payload. it will plot the chart and output the chart data, you can limit the output data points in the chart node. The output of the chart node is the current data array so you can save that in a file if you wish and read it back in when a client connect (using the ui-control node to detect the connection and trigger the file read
