Append a msg.paylaod

i have a ui-template node
i append this div inside toolbar
When, i send msg.payload to this template ,the content of {{msg.payload}} doesn't display on toolbar !! But it displays on the group.
I wonder, do i need to append {{msg.paylaod }} ???
