is it conceivable that some other nodes are interacting with the dashnode?

Perhaps... but before going that troublehsooting path (which could be a long road) it would be good to check if there is any error reported in the initialization log.

I would recommend reading this thread, better if you do it backwards (so you can quickly understand the solution).

NR Dashboard not appearing

If you open that tab's properties you see this [image] The state says it's disabled... so as it's the only page then the dashboard will be blank. Re-enabling it will bring it back.
