FlowFuse 2.31 is here: Expert can now build your industrial app (open beta)

Hey everyone :waving_hand:,

FlowFuse 2.31 is out, and the headline feature is a significant one: FlowFuse Expert can now build your application for you. Describe what you need, an OEE dashboard, an MES handover screen, a UNS topic mapping, and Expert assembles the flow directly in your Node-RED workspace.

This is now in open beta, on by default for FlowFuse Cloud, and it now works on Remote Instances as well as Hosted. Self-Hosted Enterprise teams can get it enabled on request (needs a provisioning token + bridge config, nr-assistant v0.16.0+).

Also included in this release:

  • Certified Nodes: RTSP, OPC UA, and AI nodes (for Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Ollama)
  • Per-team AI toggles, plus a platform-level ai.enabled setting for Self-Hosted
  • Fixes: wss:// MQTT now works from the editor, and uppercase package names no longer break deploys
