I've been using Node-Red for a long time and always moaned about the size of the code area for functions.
Today by complete accident I hit enter while in the function title field. Wow! I immediately got a much bigger edit area.
Maybe you all know this and I'm way behind the curve but I've never seen this mentioned before.

the expand button is just above the editor on the right hand-side:
the fact that hitting enter when the cursor is in the name field causes the form to click that button is not intentional and a quirk of html forms - but a happy quirk in this instance.
