Influxdb upgrade from v1.8.6 broken [FIX] v1.8.9 still broken

Since this is no longer about problems with an upgrade from 1.8.6 (as you are back on 1.8.6) I will make some suggestions back on the original thread.

It can not be Pi problem. I also replied on another post.

There should be something else going on in his system that causes the high CPU usage.

Just an update. The latest InfluxDB release 1.8.10 fixed the months-long bug.

Running extensive testing at the moment.

So far 1.8.10 is pretty stable and it appears to run faster and smoother than before.

Hi @davidz

I hope everything is running OK with 1.8.10? If so, I will load new version.

Thanks for your update.

pi@db1:~ $ influx -version
InfluxDB shell version: 1.8.10

I was one of those who downgraded from 1.8.9 to 1.8.6.
Since three days I run the most recent version, runs perfectly with default settings on my Pi4.

Thank you, I shall take the plunge!!

We have arranged two test units (RPi3) using 1.8.10.

Both units run smoothly so far with data coming in 24/7 at a variable rate of 1s to 10s. High sampling rate data (up to 25kHz) with 5-minute sampling period coming at least 5-6 times a day too.
Here is a screen shot of the history data taken in the past 5 days of two sensors.

We will let them run for at least 3 months before upgrading the release units to 1.8.10. So far 1.8.6 is still the most stable version.
