The original titular error message has now mysteriously disappeared with flow tidying my end; I suspect it may have been some malfunctioning experiment's output. Now I'm getting a different error message: "TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'length')" Can anyone help?

That seems to have fixed it; thank you so much! The division by 1 is a mysterious artifact inherited from legacy code; your archaeology skills are much better than mine, and your interpretation makes sense as well as banishing the error I was having.
