Mostrar apenas o valor da variável

Sou novo por aqui. Preciso de ajuda. Quero mostrar só o valor da variável nesse caso. Como devo proceder?

Have the TCP node output a string, then add a function node and split the string on a space and then access the 5th field.

e.g.

msg.payload = msg.payload.split(' ')[4]
return msg

Perfeito. Só que agora preciso converter essa string em decimal. Pode me ajudar em relação a isso?
