I had some small Cambridge Soundwork speakers hanging around and wanted to do something with them, so I decided to use them with a RPi Zero W as a music box. [IMG_0209c] (I still have to figure out a better mounting method) From the ReadMe: This music player reads a folder (called 'songs') and…

Hi, really nice setup could you tell me what a message should look like which triggers an mp3 file to play with the "PlaySound" Node ? For Example if i want to use the command for the sox player "play /home/pi/music/song.mp3" ... how would the function node look like, which pumps the signal to "Pl…

I put some notes in the play-sound github page https://github.com/MattVador/node-red-contrib-play-sound/issues/6 about using aplay, don't know if they will help you or not.

figgured it out later yesterday ... so easy  just if anyone else needs a quick example ^^ [Unbenannt]

Does this flow show how you output to the HifiBerryAmp? I can't seem to figure out that piece.

if you look on the hat next to the 4 input header there is a line of code dtoverlay=hihiberry-dac that you need to add to the config.txt file. at least you did need to do it back in 2019  p.s. that file is /boot/config.txt

Thanks so much for the reply. I think maybe i'm a little confused still. I have 1st rasp pi running node red and a 2nd rasp pi with the hifiberry amp, which has hifiberry OS. Do I add the dtoverlay=hifiberry-amp to the 1st rasp pi? I tried that, and it didn't seem to do anything. Is there a way t…

Remember, this project was done back in November of 2019 using the HiFiBerry MiniAmp. The dtoverlay goes on the Pi that has the HiFiBerry MiniAmp attached to it. I missed that you are using a HiFiBerry Amp so you may not need that overlay. I've also not used HiFiBerry OS so I really can't tell you …

Thanks Paul, appreciate the help! Maybe I need to remove the HiFiBerry OS and just try to run with it using that config connection. I'll check with the HiFiBerry forums and support and see if I can make it work otherwise.

[image] zenofmud: That first line shows a space between the 003 and the .mp3 where is that coming from? That's was just my typo when I edited the text for this post. Appreciate that you took your time to put my post to new thread.
