🎉 Node-RED 4.1.3 released

Node-RED 4.1.3 is now available.

This is a regular maintenance release, but with a bumper selection of fixes from the community.

We have 3 first-time contributors in this release, plus @kazuhitoyokoi clearly had some free time over the holiday period to provide so many fixes! Coming back from my own time off to such a large collection of pull-requests to review was a very welcoming sight to start the year.

Thank you to everyone who contributed!

The full list of changes is available in the changelog.

The docker images are building as I type.

Am I misunderstanding something? I thought the next release would be 5.x seen as I have downloaded 5.0 beta

Are all those changes in 5.0 as well or are they completely separate releases

Node-RED 4.x is the current stable release. It gets bug fixes and security fixes, but no new features.

Node-RED 5.x is currently in beta and will be the next major release once development completes.

All of the fixes going into 4.x will also be in the next 5.x beta release.

Ok, thanks for the clarification and for all your and the contributors hard work

The documentation indicates to install via npm install -g --unsafe-perm node-red
But --unsafe-perm is deprecated by NPM. Can I just drop it?

Yes, if you are using a version of npm in which it is deprecated. I believe that it needs to be in the docs for the moment as node-red still supports node 18.

Thanks Colin
