I very nearly posted a repeat of this request, but instead I'll ask if anything further has happened with it.
In the editor, I have been using the Deploy button to reset the counter, and have noticed some odd behavior. Restart Flows or a Full deployment clears the counter as expected. Deploying Modified Flows or Modified Nodes will reset the counter if the node button has been toggled between enabled and disabled, but if the button is returned to its original state the node can be deployed but the counter is not cleared. I wonder if this is by design or just a quirk of the implementation. In any case, a programmatic way to reset the counter still gets my vote.
