According to chatGPT it is possible to compile and turn an Node-Red flow to run stand alone without having Node-red installed.
So far it did not work for me.
Anyone with positive experiences on making a flow runing standing alone without Node-Red?
Thanks
Just passing by (I have family around)
But…
See my project here (follow the guide to the letter)
It currently only works for Node 18 (I haven’t updated pkg yet - that supports > 18
And one by @dceejay
Great. I will try.
Thanks
Dear Marcus,
I tried the GitHub - marcus-j-davies/Node-RED-SFE: A Single File Executable framework for Node-RED but had several problems.
On the last stage of the process "npm run-script package" I could not make it work, several missing files.
I had problems before that stage of the process but was able to sort them out.
Any additional clue?
By the way, I installed a fresh Raspberry Pi OS on my Pi 4 and updated it.
And also loaded a fresh Node-Red on it, Loaded my Flow and its modules before starting.
Thanks
OK - looks like some upstream things have changed.
I dont have time to look at this (Sorry)
Try the solution by @dceejay - Im not sure how compatible it is with Node RED 4 - But based on what I know, it may not actually be relevant?
