I've reviewed a bit on Plot.ly and it looks like it's very powerful. In fact, looking at the source code for the WindRose panel, it actually uses Plot.ly as the backbone already. Since it's already close, it's probably easier to try modifying the existing panel for my goal. I haven't figured out where the plugin is stored on the RPi yet, but since the panel is just js code, it seems like I should be able to tweak it as needed and just reload until it looks like I want.
