Andrew, the one that works you show as wi wi-snow and the one that doesn’t is wi wi-darksky-snow which is a different name and different sets of icons.
Meanwhile @Gunner was using a third set (the wu set I.e. weatherunderground.
You should try to only use one set of icons so as not confuse yourself/
Yeah, I was told that there is no real difference between wi wi-snow and wi wi-darksy-snow.
I can make it wi wi-snow if you want. But that is what it was originally and it doesn't work.
You can use which ever you want. I’m just suggesting you only use one to keep things simple.
Believe me, I do do that.
This is the.... progression of a bad life cycle.
I started of with a flavour (name) and when it stopped working, I used alternative names.
If they work/ed I moved on.
Though maybe upgrading all previous ones to the newer names may in itself open a can of worms.
When I get it all working, I may do that. But just now it is trying to establish which is the best name/set to use.

Just the first line with the <span>{{msg.payload}}</span> would have sufficed.
But anyway, this is my test icon set.
So as you can see, they all work.
But I'm not sure if we are missing the question to why it doesn't work when I put the snow message into the template node when it has the rest of the weather message.
It goes through the node and comes out. No errors. Just the icon isn't changed.
For sure we are on different platforms and different browsers so there is things what can cause differences. Cos as I see you have wi wi-snow in those conditions.
Thing you haven't shown yet is the actual case inspected with developer tools like I did in post 9

I clicked on the icon which should have changed, but it hasn't / didn't... So I am not sure what it is telling you.
To be clear: I clicked on the right side of the screen on the part which shows the moon behind clouds.
But that is what the weather is in real time.
I clicked the inject node that injects the message with snow in it, and it comes out the other side of the node... Just the icon isn't changed.
Sorry, but you may need me to click / select other things in the middle and right of the developer tools window.
But as I said: The icon isn't changed, so I am at a loss how this is helpful.
