16X2 i2c lcd display

Hi.

I want to display temperature data on a Waveshare 16x2 i2c display. Can any one help me with node red sample code and/or assistance to get it working.

I can get it to display text using the using Python code in a Python function node. But the problem then is that i cannot get the temp data from node red to display with the Python code.

I will really appreciate any assistance.
