An update apropos the WYSIWYG editor for Dashboard 2.0

Greetings from the Antipodes.
I've been watching for news since the 2024 announcements but have possibly missed something. Is there any good news?

Hi Lao,

No updates to report unfortunately. Still very much something we'd like to get done, but competing with lots of other priorities.

Nick

@LaoBan are you aware of the layout editor?

Thanks Nick

Hello Colin,
Thanks for your reply.
I've used the older version with the original Dashboard but I'm lost with DB-2.
Apart from the rudimentary tailoring that's offered, is editing and rearranging DB-2 layouts possible at present? This is the point where I get lost.

Have you tried the layout editor button that I showed an image of?

Sorry for the slow reply Colin, I fell down a rabbit hole.
My issue is how to fine tune the dashboard display.
In the bottom row of the clip (purple rectangle) there are two LEDs and two numeric values.
Each is sized to 1*1.
My primary aim is to reduce the gaps between each item.
A secondary 'nice addition' would be to add a text title to each, but at a reasonable font size.
Are these functions possible without getting into an advanced external coding rabbit hole?
Thanks

This isn't really anything to do with the wysiwyg editor.
You can adjust the space between the widgets, which is the gap between the vertical dotted lines, if that is what you mean, by editing the Widget Gap in the theme, I think.

If you want to make the widgets themselves narrower then you can adjust the number of 1x1 widgets that will be fitted across the screen in the Page settings, in the Responsive Layout section. The columns field determines how many 1x1 widgets will be fitted across the screen, for different screen/window widths.

Ah, it appears that I was down yet another rabbit hole, that probably explains why I ran into Alice.
Thanks for your patience Colin, we can now move on.
Cheers
