Bug report? <DEPLOY> button happenings

Ok, here goes:

NR 2.2.2

I have a debug node active. I DEACTIVATE it. Deploy button turns RED. (Fair enough)

I go else where and do something else. (Deploy button - no change.)

OOPS! I didn't want to do that last thing.
I press <CTL> Z on the keyboard to undo that last thing.

Deploy button goes back to being GREY. The Modified debug node is still showing with a blue dot on it as it has been modified.

Bug?

Assuming I'm following correctly, I'm not seeing the same behaviour.

  • Drop a debug node into the flow and deploy.
  • Edit the debug node and turn off Enabled - blue dot appears and Deploy turns red.
  • Go to another flow and ctrl-Z - Deploy reverts to grey.
  • Go back to initial flow and the blue dot is gone. This is where you're still seeing the blue dot?

However, I came here to see if something else has been reported as a bug with undo:

  • Link 3 nodes
  • Delete the middle node
  • ctrl-Z to undo
  • The middle node comes back, but the links do not. This is with NR 2.2.2, but I reckon it has been around for a while.

I don't think that is exactly what I said.

So, I have a flow and debug node. Set as.......

I click on the output tab of the node and it now is doing the opposite of what it was doing.

DEPLOY turns RED.

I go else where (that tab or else where)

I edit a node. Doesn't matter which. I can't remember exactly what I did.
Then I wanted to undo that last change.

I press CTL Z and that change is undone.

But the DEPLOY button has changed back to GREY.

Going to the original debug node it is still marked as changed.

Yes, this has been fixed in master

Maybe I'm still getting it wrong, but I'm still not seeing that behaviour:

  • Drop a debug node into the flow and deploy.
  • Click the tab on the debug to deactivate - Deploy turns red.
  • Make a change to another node.
  • ctrl-Z to undo that change. I am seeing the Deploy stays red. A second ctrl-Z turns it grey and removes the blue dot on the debug node. I think you're saying the Deploy goes grey after the first ctrl-Z.

Shame I don't know how to do those video screen captures.

ScreenToGif - Record your screen, edit and save as a gif, video or other formats

Looking at the link though.... That's for windows... Yes?

Won't work on Ubuntu. :frowning:

I thought I would try to take screen shots and show things at critical stages.

Typical: Now it is behaving itself.

Sorry folks.
Seems I can't get it to happen again.

Maybe get a real OS

Failing that, maybe try one of these: 9 Best Screen Recorders for Linux in 2020 (itsfoss.com)
