Cannot update Node-Red v1.1.3

I run sudo npm install -g --unsafe-perm node-red with result:

I restart node-red but is always the same.

You didn't mention the used OS, but why don't you use the bash install script, which is also suitable for updates?

I have OpenSuse Leap 15.2
I think that script is only for Debian/Ubuntu

You are right. So there might be a problem with Suse, using other libraries.
I cannot not help you, but others might need to know, which npm version you have installed:

npm --version

nodejs --version seems to be 12.18.4 in your case. (My Raspian Buster has v12.19.0)

The log states, that it does not find g++, which is installed on my Raspi.

It worked, you can ignore the apparent errors. What happens when you start node red?

As Colin points out the install failed to build some optional libraries so appears to have worked ok. As Stefan also mentioned it can’t find the necessary build tools like gcc and make which is why it failed. So adding them should clean up the messages next time but is not strictly necessary.

What happens when you stop and restart - can you show us that log ?

I use pm2 to start and stop, where I can find the log?
