Can't get Email flow to Work

I’v tried every thing I could keep getting this message: “YOU HAVE SOME UNUSED CONFIGURATION NODES”

It says click for more info but nothing happens. Can run Email from chrome OK so system works.
running RPI 3 with Noobs version of Node.

Anyone have problem like this?

Thanks

Click on the hamburger menu (top right) and select Configuration Nodes, then click Unused at top right and it should show you them, with dotted line round. Double click the unused node and click delete in top left. Repeat for each unused node obviously.

If you are running the Noobs version of node (i.e you’ve never upgraded) it is also worth upgrading following the instructions here:
https://nodered.org/docs/hardware/raspberrypi

Hi Collin, that helped but still getting failure message

Which version of nodejs and node-red are you using?

If you’ve deleted all the unused configuration nodes, what does the failure message actually say?

Hi, I think it is upgraded More is v15.2, Node .js 10.29

Then no it hasn’t upgraded. Follow the instructions on the page I linked to earlier.
You have to run a script you would know if you had done it.

I updated using your info, now fails with Error: Invalid Credentials

I used the credentials to log directly into Google Mail and it worked fine!

Thanks again for the help, right now I’m a little frustrated

Well thats the first time you’ve mentioned that its google mail.
Have you gone in to your google account and enabled the option to allow access from “less secure apps”

https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en

If you are using 2FA for gmail, a Google ‘app password’ will be required.

My primary email is Yahoo, but i Saw that google was already in the flow I used my Google account
also can’t get either one to run. Sorry for being dense on this stuff, just got into RPI recently

So try the steps listed above with your google account
