Changes made in the web UI do not save or persist

I have a weird issue. I am running version 5.0.8 in a container managed by Podman and have been running node-red with periodic updates for several years and in the last month I have had a very weird issue some up.

Any edits to the flows via the UI, no matter how simple, will not save. As an example, I add a debug node and hook it up then click the "Deploy" button. If I then refresh the web page, the change will be gone. This applies to any flow change, deletions, additions or even just moving on the canvas are lost. I can add new items to the palette without any problem whatsoever.

No intentional changes have been made to the setup or file permissions.

I am not seeing anything in the logs, but the logging level might not be set correctly. All existing flows operate correctly.

Help please!

Welcome to the forum @RichardL

What do you see in the node-red log when you click Deploy?

Nothing at all, which should have been a clue to I think! I just realised that posting to the flows endpoint from the UI gets a 302 and redirects to the login page that wraps all of the services that run on this device.

Has the way that changes flow from the UI to the server changed significantly in version 5?

Sorry, turns out that I am incredibly stupid and the root filesystem was full of logs since for some reason the log rolling scripts that have been working for the last couple of years decided to suddenly stop. All fixed now!
