I've tried installing dmxusbpro as a potential replace for the Ola bridge. Unfortunately I get the error "node red flows stopped due to missing node types" whenever I try to use it. Any suggestions appreciated.

Along with that error will be a list of the types that are missing. You will need to install the node modules that provide those types. If you shared more details, we could help point you at the appropriate modules.
If you think you've already installed the required modules, another possible reason is there being an error when NR tries to load the module. Again, the log will provide more details on any such errors.
