I wrote a blog post about setting up your own GPS tracking system with node-RED, Eclipse Mosquitto and Zanzito. Zanzito is an android app which sends sensor data of your smartphone to any message broker. I used node-red for pulling the info out of mosquitto, manipulate the JSON and forward it to worldmap. I have to say that was really easy and fun especially when you are not a developer like me.
I work for sloppy.io but this tutorial works of course for other hoster as well. If anyone knows an iphone app similar to zanzito, it would be nice to share this info.
