Why are you doing that? That is a possibile issue,

If I were you - knowing that it runs for me - i would get a new SD card (save your current one for safty) and flash it with the latest version of Buster, do the sudo update/full-upgrade, install the latest NR and just the4 nodes you need. Install alsa-util, copy the music over and python and work from there.

Oh when I said root I meant as in I did not make any other accounts when first getting and playing around with the Pi. I was just using the main owner account or whatever to just learn stuff.

Did you try flashing a new SD card and doing the installs like I suggested?
