Just wanted to share something. Google released a SDM api in their cloud. Which allows you to control the nest thermostat after killing of the original works with nest. I've tested some things over the weekend and for me this is now back working. More info can be found on their site. Developer access will cost you 5$ .
I posted a screenshot in slack channel with a sample flow to get the readouts back to NR.
Most of it is pretty straight forward just follow the guide listed at
For now it supports nest thermostat, cam, doorbell and hub max.
Would be nice if we could create a new node for this.
