How to connect a bluetooth water meter to victron using Venus OS Large and Node Red

Hi Team, I have a victron system running Venus OS Large and therefore Node Red on my Cerbro GX.

I have this old Topargee Bluetooth Water Tank Gauge called an eflow. Since it is bluetooth I was wondering if I can connect it to my Victron system using a ‘virtual device’ node.

I got the node working, but I can’t figure out how to connect to the Bluetooth device.
I know my device's MAC address, but I don’t know which node to use to connect.

I have tried a few community Bluetooth nodes, but sometimes they don’t install or create lots of ‘deprecated warnings’.

Screenshot above is using the community nodes ‘node-red-contrib-victron-ble’ but doesnt seem to do anything :frowning:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you certain the Topargee Bluetooth Water Tank Gauge is BLE compatible? It might be regular Bluetooth!

I am not sure.

  • Any idea how to check?
  • And what are the implications either way
