How to use the Event log

Hello ,

I was trying to explore the event log option in node-red ( View -> Event Log). I am not able to see any events on the view panel even though I tried log using node.log or node.send option from a function node.

I would like to first of all confirm my understanding of How and for what the even log panel will be used .

The event log is for seeing detailed log information when installing new nodes from the palette manager or generating ssh keys as part of the projects feature. It is not a general purpose event log for your flows.

I would like to cherry pick certain events from my flow to populate an event viewer a in the dashboard (100 lines or so). Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance
