Is it safe to use the uibuilder route for a Node-RED based http-in API?

Thanks for the link @shrickus, I didn't come across it in my quick searching. Looks like it has the answer I was looking for:

You could easily set your http-in node to have a URL pattern of /myapp/api/:id , uibuilder wouldn't object or get in the way at all as long as you don't create a uibuilder web page with the matching URL.

As for keeping the API routes separate, you're both right and I agree. I'm currently using /ui/api/<something>, I should've made that more clear in the initial post.
