I have just received notification of an update to Node-RED - v1.4.10 but I cannot find any mention of this in the forum. Is it valid?
No, that is not valid. What gave you that notification?
Many apologies a typo- v4.1.10, hopefully corrected title. It is valid as I have tried it and there are all the updates carried out for v4.1.9 & 4.1.10

Yes, that one appears to be valid - at least I upgraded to it 
I should have looked there before going into panic mode. As I said I also installed it and in the dropdown for the version were all the updates as per the github notice. It was just the jump from 4.1.8 to 4.1.10 with no notification in the forum that threw me.
My apologies - we did a 4.1.9 release on Thursday, was about to do the forum post when a regression was reported - which drove the 4.1.10 release on Friday... and I still failed to do the forum post.
