No MQTT In after updates

Hi,

On Friday I noticed that the update icon was on the top bar so i installed the updates, however after this I noticed that my gauges were not working, I restarted the Raspberry Pi but in the Debug window I am getting this and the mqtt nodes no longer say connected.

Thanks

Any more details?

What did you update - just node packages? node-red? nodejs? everything?

This can also happen if there is slight file corruption. Assuming you run from an SD card, this sort of thing can occur when SD cards start to fail.

I think I've seen something similar.

After opening one of the mqtt config nodes, clicking OK and deploying it started working again.

I clicked the update icon that appears on the top bar of the raspberry pi and installed them

Thanks

Hi Jbudd,

Thanks I will try that now

Hi Guys,

I tried all sorts to get it back but to no avail, luckily I had just started making backups so i had an archive handy, I replaced all of the files in the .node-red directory and when restarted 3 or 4 node types were missing and I presume that they must of been installed differently, when I replaced the nodes and restarted node-red everything started working again.

P.S.
I took the usb stick home to try and replicate this on my Mac but found out that you cant read ext4 on a standard Mac so I ran a virtual machine and still ran into problems, what I learned is transfer the archive and not the files as you get errors saying the system does not support symbols.

Thanks

Glad you had backups.

I have been caught out a few times without them.

But glad to hear it is now all working.
