Node-RED Integration with SAP

Hello, I am an SAP Consultant (Integration),i wanted to extract data from Node-RED to SAP system through SAP PI/PO. I would like to know what are the connectivity options are available with Node RED(cloud) for data extraction to the SAP system?

it is possible to use SOAP/HTTP protocols or any other type of communication?
If in-case connectivity is possible, Node-RED can push data based on events and/or manual activity? or external system(SAP) should always pull data from Node-RED?
