Problem with Subflow Input

Hi,
I have a problem understanding how to connect a flow with a subflow. I created a tab with an event capture, then imported a subflow with an input which is now on another tab and of course want to connect them both.

Problem is, I couldn't find or google any explanation how to do this. Must be so easy that I constantly overlook it

Would like to add a screenshot but can't find an option for this, maybe due to limit for new users..

Could anybody please give me a hint?
Thank you very much

The subflow should appear as a node in the subflows section in the left hand panel. Drag it into your flow.

If this is a subflow tab then you do not connect other nodes there.

You would normally drag the subflow from the node pallete sidebar.

If you are talking about a flow tab, then you can use link in and link out nodes to link between nodes on different flow tabs.

Thank you all very much, that was the missing link. In the documentation of subflows its not mentioned, where to find them or how to link them

Have a nice day

It is described in the introductory section of Subflows : Node-RED

Subflows are also covered in the recommended playlist: Node-RED Essentials. The videos are done by the developers of node-red. They're nice & short and to the point. You will understand a whole lot more in about 1 hour. A small investment for a lot of gain.
