Raspberry Pi 4 - root user

Can anyone tell me why this would be occurring intermittently? When it does data continues to flow to all but the HAT display

I noticed as well that the HAT nodes would display "disconnected" from time to time, to me without any observable effect?

I have included a screen shot of the config

One to raise with the author of that node I think. It appears to be calling some underlying Python code?
