Reliable Sydney Weather source?

Guys,

What are people from Sydney, Australia using as a reliable weather source ? I am using Darksky - but find that (for instance now) that it is telling me i have 100% cloud cover, whilst it is a bright sunny cloudless day !

Any other sources of good weather info people would recommend ?

Craig

Have you tried tapping into the BOM api?

Re Darksky, you don't have to be in Sydney to get bizarre cloud cover readings. Wherever they are getting some of their data from is quite inaccurate at times.

Not yet Bobo - wanted to see if there were other options or if someone had a packaged up node for the BOM data

regards

Craig

I've not seen any nodes like that, but from memory there are a few flows that use the BOM api.

Hello from over in Perth. Did you end up using BOM weather?

Yep i do use it in Sydney - it is quite reliable but has a few quirks

Craig

With how reliable they are I use this instead:

My weather forcasting device

Well done Andrew !

Craig

Yeah, sorry, but when I read it I just had to reply with that picture.

Weather forecasting is still pretty much up in the air for accuracy.
