Set Temperatur of Thermostat with Z-Wave

Hi,

I am not sure how to work with Z-Wave at all but I am still trying my best. So I did something I was sure it would work but it doesn't. I was trying to change the temperature to 26.noderedforum noderedforum2

Hi,

The docs GitHub - OpenZWave/node-red-contrib-openzwave: OpenZWave nodes for node-red say

Currently only "plain/basic" datatypes are supported (ints, floats etc), more complex ones, eg values with units such as thermostat setpoints are not yet supported

I don't know if this is the reason why it does not work for you (unfortunately, I do not have a zwave thermostat)
Do you have other zwave devices that work?

Edit: see also Support for thermostat setpoints and Modes · Issue #67 · OpenZWave/node-red-contrib-openzwave · GitHub

Which zwave node are you using ? openzwave or openzwave-am ?
I wasn't able to get the openzwave node to work, the -am version works for me.

open zwave not am

I installed openzwave-am now, but nothing changed still not changing the temperature

@cinhcet I saw this post but it did not help me because I did not understand what he meant with the file link. I think that is my problem because the rest of what he is saying I already did.

These things keep popping up in my terminal when I try to change the values. Maybe the thermostat went in standby before receiving the message, I don't know. What is the problem?
