I declared network mode: host so the container can "see" the LAN network.

Just tried it again and as long as I provided the mac it worked Im not sure why it didnt work the first time
No, I have not tried any. I was more asking for advise of which one to go with. I have the feeling that some older palettes just slip under the rug and dont get touched again
But WoL is a fix quantity, the protocol has not changed in 10s of years, so why would the node need updating?
Sorry I am cofused by your response, I undertand the WoL protocol hasn't really changed since it was made, I just couldn't get the node to work, but I have now
