Since the NR install script tends to accept the installed version of node, if it is an acceptable version, I am looking for some discussion on why using Node 14 or 16 over, in my case, have Node 12 already present.
Is this decision more than just... well if you need a feature in Node X, use Node X?
Node 12 reaches its end of life in 4 months time.
So at this point, I'd recommend going with either of the newer versions to ensure you can still get security fixes etc.
I'm not aware of any nodes that explicitly require newer versions of node.js, but they may exist.
Ah... thanks. I have been away from active NR development... for a while, so had not noticed Node 12 was approaching EOL.
