Would it be a problem to connect 10.1 to 192.0?

New to NodeRed. I am following a Youtube video to use NodeRed on RaspberryPi to talk to a Allen Bradley PLC. My PLC ip is 192.0.x.x. My raspberrypi ip address is 10.1.x.x. Would it be OK to communicate between those two ip addresses via NodeRed?

That should work - if you define a (static) route on the default gateway, both devices have a default gateway set where traffic should be send if the destination is not on the same lan segment.

If there is routing between the two OR your PI is multi-homed, then sure.

How are the two networks connected?
