It would be helpful to sometimes just see the path instead of copying it. A button to the left of the copy button to show the path on screen would be a great addition.

Or maybe display it in a tooltip on mouse hover?

That is exactly what I meant! 
I really thought this suggestion would find a few more advocates!. Ah well, no need for a PR then.
