Azure Iot hub connection test

Hi! is there any way to test if the azure node has connection ? I tought about the "node-red-contrib-msg-queue" but the azure iot hub node only establishes a connection once the flow sends data to it. so if a have a node-red-contrib-msg-queue in front to test if it has a connection, the azure node will never establish a connection/get the payload.

I want to add the status in the front end. is there any good way ?
