I love Node-RED so much I'd like to support the development team by donating or would be happy to pay a subscription. Is this possible? Would it actually help ensure the future of Node-RED?

Maybe check out Flowforge. It is a commercial version with extra capability created by Nick and the core team that also maintain Node-RED
