Has something about the forum been changed? I view it in the Browser (Waterfox) and up until today if I had a thread open in a tab and a new post(s) came in while I was not looking at then the number of new posts was displayed in the tab header in parenthesise so I could tell if there were new posts without going and looking. Today it keeps showing the same number in all tabs, typically 7, even when there are no new posts on that topic. If I open the tab the number goes away, but then comes back again later.
The situation is confused by the fact that there was an upgrade to Waterfox today (to 56.2.8) so it could be that.
I am seeing similar symptoms in Chrome (on Ubuntu), though not absolutely the same.
Any comments on this? Was discourse updated a couple of days ago?
Hi Colin - this is a hosted service. We don't maintain it ourselves. I'm sure it receives multiple updates and fixes every day.
