Progress bar or text field on worldmap

I'd like to add a progress bar or a text box to the worldmap that is not linked to a specific marker. What is the best way to do that?

no simple way - you can of course embed the worldmap into another page using and iframe - or the dashboard using the ui-dashboard node.
